the bandage was stuck with all the blood! Thank goodness they were numb for a full day!

right after they were done! It's the weirdest feeling to not be able to feel your toes!! You fee like you are going to fall forward but then...you don't! The doctor cuts the nail and removes it then takes a Q-tip and puts acid down to kill the root. It was really nasty to watch! They have been a pain to heal. No jogging or pushups( I learned the hard way!) But now it's 2 weeks later and they are starting to really heal and feel SO much better then the ingrown toenail did!! I would recommend Dr. Taylor to anyone! He did an awesome job on mine and my brothers feet! I'm thinking if there's no bloody toes tonight....I'll paint them!! :) One less mission prep to worry about!! Now on to my wisdom teeth :(

Chase left the MTC yesterday (Monday-April 11, 2011) :) He was so excited!!! He had like 17 hours of flying to do so sometime this morning he landed there and is probably overwhelmed with getting settled in!! When we get his address we'll let all of you know and thank you all for your support for helping us all get on missions!! We love you all!!

It has finally happened, my mission papers ARE STARTED!!!! :) I can not be happier, or more stressed!! One good thing about boys going at 19 is they have had little time after high school to really get in debt or acquire things. However when you don't leave until 21 you've had 3 years of exactly that!! So between paying off all bills and trying to decide where to store the many things I've collected with 21 years of life....I think I have a constant ulcer. However I have put my faith in the Lord!! I am just plowing through the paper work so I can turn it in and go serve!! I know if I stay faithful and true that he will take care of the rest!(However prayers from loved ones never hurts :)) So everyone stay tuned for an exciting announcement around the 1st of May :) CAN'T WAIT!!!

Elder Chase Nielson is now in the MTC!! He left Feb. 9, 2011. He was so ready to go and so excited to start spreading the gospel. He wishes he was in Paraguay already!! But he will have to wait till April to start meeting the people he will serve for the next two years!! I'm so proud of him and my brother Tylen(Elder Earl) for their choice to serve missions!! I know they are doing what the Lord has asked of them and that they will bring joy and happiness to the people they are teaching!! Keep them in your prayers, and the people they serve, that they might bring more souls unto Christ!!

Blast from the Past!

My grandma found some old photos of us while looking around in her office! I was so glad to see them. They remind me of everything I've been through these (almost) 21 years! I have been so blessed with a happy childhood, a family that loves me, and parents that care (including my angel father always watching me). Even in the teenage years I had so many friends and was involved with cheer leading, clogging, school and church activities, I loved every minute of it. I was blessed to not have problems in high school and to get very good grades! When I look back at all of this that I have been blessed with I think "why don't I take advantage of what I'm blessed with right now!" I'm at one of the most exciting moments of life! I've lived away from home and learned who I am and what I want, there have been lots of mistakes and rough patches but THANK GOODNESS I avoided any BIG regrets! I now appreciate my family more and living with them is actually enjoyable for once. I am not tied to anything! I can take a week off work and say I'm going to Logan, or Vegas, or LONDON, and there is nobody that will say no, or I need you here! My money is in order and I have a GREAT job and it's only me I have to worry about, no husband and kids that have to come before me! I am excited for when a family of my own will come into my life, but right now I'm thankful I can be SELFISH!! I can splurge on my clothes and phone and vacations because this is my last chance to focus on ME!!! I'm also so thankful that this "selfish" streak has caused me to really find my own testimony!! I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ! He is my Savior and died so that I could be forgiven and return to him and our heavenly father! There is no greater peace then knowing we can live together with our family for eternity! I'm glad that I got this little "blast from the past" and that it started me thinking in this direction! I'm so happy with who I am and what I have, I've never been more at peace with me and my future!! So here's to 2011 and being selfish!!

It was a Friday night out on the town! My old roommates and Auston came up and met me in Park City to see Jason Hewlett and eat dinner! We also had a great time walking around and seeing all the shops on Main Street, it's so beautiful there at night! Jason was hilarious! He does musical impressions and he is awesome!! I laughed so hard and enjoyed everyminute! I recommend him to anyone that has a chance to see him preform! It was so good to see my friends again and catch up! Hopefully we can do it again soon, I love them all dearly!!

Fitzwilliam the Snowman!

Cameron, Caroline, and I had a snowday!! The snow was perfect for making a snowman, and oh boy did we!! He had to be about 6 feet tall or more. We had a fun time making him, perfecting him, and then taking pictures with him!! Unfortunately it started raining last night and then the wind was blowing. This morning he was headless and looked like he was falling backwards. We tried to push him back up but he was froze solid!! But for the day that he was up he was the best snowman ever!!

Thanksgiving in Vegas!!

We had a great time in Vegas for Thanksgiving. The drive there and back were pretty sketchy,and the weather there was a little chilly....but at least it wasn't snowing!!!! We were there for 5 days! what a great Vacation! We ate a yummy dinner that my grandma did an amazing job on. We went to the strip and ate at Margaritaville then walked around the forum shops. We went and saw Harry Potter in a nice theater! Grandpa took us on a tour of his new courthouse(where the security guard came to find us because we'd been on the roof!) And we looked at lots of old photos and stories that grandma had in books! It was refreshing to relax and spend time as a family! And SOO good to see my grandma and grandpa!!!

Quick Catch Up!

Wow it's been awhile! Well I better do a quick catch up before I continue on with the blogging!! It's been an eventful 7 months. I was living in Logan going to school at Utah State University. I stayed over the summer to work, I was the Jewelry coordinator at Walmart. During this time I was dating a boy and things got serious, we were talking marriage and ended up getting engaged. We had been dating for a year and and a half. Not wanting to get into all the details of our relationship and break up, he was the WRONG guy!! And luckily he proved just how wrong he was throughout the breakup, making it easy to feel good about NOT making that mistake! So I thought it a good time to move home and re-group!! SO...now I am back in my old room, I'm working in Park City at a grocery store and I LOVE it!! Now that it is the Ski season I am meeting people from all over the world! (including the Russian and German teams) I've almost finished paying off school so I can get back to it!! I will start back in August if everything goes according to plan! I also got callings in my ward, I'm on the Young Single Adult committee and the Relief Society Chorister. I'm adjusting surprisingly well and I'm ready for the next step in life...whatever it might be!! I think for the most part that is 7 months in a nut shell!!

So I have the best friends in the world :) I got home from doing laundry on my birthday and there they were with balloons, lunch, star glasses, and a birthday tiara for me haha!! They even got me sparkler candles. They were awesome. You can see me holding them outside, it was hard to see them spark in the light. Then Friday night, Makayle, Bryson, and I went to Tattles in Preston, Idaho for dinner. We had a lot of laughs and a wonderful meal!! I don't know what I'd do without my friends. They really do keep me going most days!! I love you guys!! Thanks for such a great 20th birthday!!

Yes I know, my birthday is not till the 22 of April. But this last Saturday, the 10th, my mom and I were both able to have the day off. So we met in Salt Lake thanks to my great friends Brian and Sheila!! They were heading south and let me tag along to meet my mom!! I helped Brian and Sheila look for appliances for awhile then my mom got me and we walked around the mall for a bit. The we had the BEST EVER lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. I had Parmesan crusted chicken. It was shredded parmesan and romano cheese browned onto these two huge thin slices of chicken!! It was SO good, with spaghetti and a light tomato sauce! Then I had the 30th anniversary chocolate cheesecake!! It was fudge cake and cheese cake layered!! It's taken me 3 days now to eat it!!

Then after lunch we headed over to Gardner Village and walked around all the shops. It's a very cute place with antique shops and old western type things, and then a few more modern type shops! We're going to plan a day there and eat at the restaurant Archibald's. Then we drove back to meet my ride and talked for a bit, gave my mom a BUG hug goodbye since I don't get to see her enough!! On the ride back to Logan I was out like a light!! It only took me like two seconds to fall asleep. I was exhausted, but the day was well worth it!! So now I'm looking forward to birthday celebration number 2!! haha!

I hate to be one that writes a bitter post. But lately I have been feeling a lot of bitterness!! For the most part I have myself to blame, giving myself and everything to somebody who wasn't worth it, and almost losing everything because of it. But it's not how hard we fall, but how we stand back up that matters!! And I'm ready to move on and move up! I'm sorry to all those I've hurt, and all those who told me so that I ignored. And I hope I'm smarter next time around. I've found this song to say everything I'm feeling. thank goodness for rascal flatts!!

Random Happenings

Nothing much has changed. I work usually five days a week, go to school five days a week, life is pretty much the same. A group of us get together and have a good dinner once a week. We always have a dessert after :) Last time we made a giant rabbit cookie, then put ice cream on top like a fhzookie. At work the other day I dropped a gallon of milk, the WHOLE gallon spilled out and it took two hours for me to clean it up haha!! Other than that not much has happened. Just trying to keep up with life and all it brings! Hope everyone else is doing well :)

2009 has come and gone. It is now 2010 and time for new year resolutions that we know don't ever last past January. But every new year we make them anyway. So what the heck, here I go :). First off, my blog has felt very left out of my life. I'm going to try to write more and keep up...just like with everything else! I'd LOVE to get better grades this next semester. In fact I need to get better grades, last semester I got a little sluggish. I'm once again going to quit drinking soda. I did it once so I can do it again right?? I'm also going to try to keep things cleaner. I tend to let things pile up until it's overwhelming to have to clean it. So if I can just keep up on the cleaning...things might stay cleaner :) SO there are my few resolutions!! We'll see how long they last :) :) :)

Caroline's spring break!!

Caroline is often heard saying "I hate my brothers" or "my brothers are driving me crazy" So this last week being her spring break she was looking at five days of being home with no parents and only her brothers!! So I decided to save her and had her come stay with me in Logan for the week!! Because my brothers drive me crazy too, so I feel her pain!! She was a sweetheart! She slept on the floor, told me my cooking was good, and kept her self entertained while I went to school or did homework. Jaelynn also had spring break so one day we picked her up and went to a movie and dinner!! And then caroline spent the night over there! We visited Natalie and Hayden and Carlie, and Grandma and Grandpa Earl as well! It was a good week!!

It's so true! You can't have all ya want when it comes to college life! I know I haven't blogged in awhile!! The school year is coming to an end and all of my professors decided to LOAD the last month with papers and tests so that we could go out with a bang!! On top of the school work load, I go home to Heber every weekend to work at the One Stop! It's kept me skimming above the surface of WAY in debt! So for that I am thankful!! I've decided that I take back all the wishes of wanting to grow up and be an adult!! I thought it'd be all play and doing whatever I want without permission, when really there's no play at all just bills, bills, and more bills!! Luckily in three weeks it'll be back to full time work and out of debt!! YAY!!! Still not dating anyone, I'm guessing that falls under the social life part that I don't get!! Maybe next year I can try and squeeze all three in!! Hopefully at least a couple dates here and there!! Well I'm off to write yet another paper!! three more weeks....three more weeks....three more weeks!! Gotta keep chanting that to keep me going!!

Poor Chase had his feet operated on today! It was about 2 hours per foot! So he had a very long day! They put him out, and then drugged him up after! So he's had a nice long nap! Luckily it's his spring break so he won't be missing much to just lay around all week and heal! But it's sure going to drive him crazy to not be able to move!! Love ya chaser! Hope you get better quick!!

Yes, I last minute decided to get bangs! I told my mom the day before, "no I'm not going to do it! What if I hate them, they'll take too long to grow back out! I'm only coloring it!" Well pam talked me into it....wasn't very hard actually! I closed my eyes, she cut them I opened and squealed!! But luckily I love them! I'm not quite used to them always being in my face, but oh well! It was time for a new style to my boring hair!

I did it!! I changed my hair!! Touched up the color and got a new style!! I don't have pictures of it yet but they are coming very soon! Night On the Town

For my Creative Arts class we have to go to these concerts and plays! So Wednesday night we went to Kathy Matea. I had never heard of her before, but I recognized some of her songs and I guess she's a grammy winner! It was pretty good...WAY better then the first one we had to go to with these boring gypsy jazz guys! We went to Olive Garden to eat first, then the concert, then I had made Chocolate Eclair cake for us to eat for desert! And of course there was driving around and singing at the top of our lungs!! When we parked we saw the building next to us had vomitt written on it! we got a good laugh out of that...and it's not even spelled right!

This is the rest of my house. The downstairs kitchen and bathroom were redone and are WAY nice!! There is also a little kitchen upstairs, but when I tried to use the stove the other day to boil water the smokey smell it made caused the smoke alarms to go off!! It was quite fun trying to get them off when I'm not even tall enough to reach one with my finger!! There is also a bathroom upstairs, it's not as nice as downstairs, but it works which is great! I love my little yellow house!!

This is my cute new bedroom! I'm so proud of my built in bookshelf ha ha. And of my cute decorations I brought from home of course!! I'm just waiting on a little night stand to go by my bed for my alarm clock, phone, and lamp! And of course I love my green shag carpet! That is my favorite part!

This is sweet McKinley Olney!! I work with her mom and on Wednesday's I would get off at 11 and she'd come in at 11 and bring McKinley and I'd take her home and watch her till 5!! She is the cutest one year old ever. She has my whole family wrapped around her finger. We also constantly ask her "where's your eyes...where's your nose" and so on! She's a doll! I've loved watching her!

Logan Fun!!

Tonight was my first night living in Logan!! My friend Kayla and I went to see the temple and took some pictures! At first the flash was on so you couldn't see the temple very well...that's the horizontal picture of me. Then we took a picture with the flash off and you could see the temple perfect but we were just dark unidentifiable blobs!! So finally we got smart and walked around till we found a light so that you could see both the temple and us!! Then of course we took a WHOLE BUNCH of silly pictures making faces when we got in the car! What else is there to do in college right??

Earl Christmas Party

I'm a little late in posting this, but as usual the Earl Christmas party was a blast full of food and musical chairs!! We had delicious sloppy joes, played bingo, wrote cards to our missionaries, and of course went neck to neck (or bum to bum) in musical chairs! Then grandma read everyone The Littlest Angel....it was SILENT as she read!! It was great to see everyone and laugh together! Then afterward my family and I went shopping to the Logan Mall. That is where you get the lovely picture of my mom and I in the bathroom! We're pretty weird I know!!

It feels like FOREVER ago that I was a cheerleader for Wasatch High School but sadly to say it was only three years ago! Even more sadly to say that in three years your body can change A TON! What I would give for that body nowadays haha!!

I missed October all together!! It was quite the eventful month. I came home from school for a lot of reasons. They didn't have the major I wanted, their credits wouldn't transfer, and I couldn't find a job anywhere!! I also called off my wedding engagement. It's tough, way worse than a normal break up...but I'm tough I'll get over it right?? Just wish it would be soonder than later! Anyway in January I'll be moving up to Logan to start school at Utah State University!! I'll be living in a cute yellow house and studying to become a special education teacher!! I hope that I can make some friends and do well up there. I'm in real need of a good friend right now!! Well that's October in a nutshell, now we're on to the holiday season!!

I guess with everything new in my life I might as well start a blog to go along with it all!! I'm loving college. I have made great friends and am enjoying growing up and being on my own. It's amazing how I actually love to clean and cook now. While i'm sitting here in my apartment all alone and the kitchen looks like a bomb went off I actually enjoy making it look good. Classes are great, I'm still in the paying attention phase but I'm sure that will wear off soon! Until next time!
